Helped position Think New Ideas, an interactive marketing firm, which was co-founded by one of the Timmaron partners, to be acquired by AnswerThink Consulting, for $350M (approx. 7x revenues) in the summer 1999.

Developed first corporate decision-support strategy for top management, with 35 DSS applications. Developed the first Federal Marketing Strategy for Apple and helped win $200M Army contract. Wrote specs led vendor selection for a new generation of manufacturing and distribution systems.

Advised CEO on diversification strategy; identified and courted acquisition candidates; detailed plans for board review

Advised CEO on business performance indicators, marketing cost reduction, product positioning, and strategy for acquisition integration, built first corporate EIS.

Served on the faculty of Caltech, as a Dr. Chaim Weizmann Post-doctoral Fellow and actively conducted research in the area of laser technology development for applications in chemical physics.

Timmaron Managing Partner currently serves on the Board of Directors of this $1B revenue domestic and international wireless/wireline entity and serves as Chairman of the Compensation Committee of the Board.

Advisor to the Cerberus team during the intended privatization and acquisition of Bell Canada Enterprises (BCE), in a transaction estimated at $50B; actively participated in due diligence activities/meetings with top BCE leadership.

Developed internal strategy for early use of internet technology to support investment banking; implemented a personal executive information system for the CEO.

Designed a marketing information system for formulating and tracking promotions, such as customer cash and optimal pricing; THINK New Ideas developed and operated Chrysler.com

Served as President & CEO of the $800 million dollar revenue telephone company division of a New York Stock Exchange company (NYSE: CBB)

Served as President & CEO of a portfolio company.

Advised CEO and top management in pre-merger M&A strategies/, developed strategies and options for diversification; identified acquisition candidates and led due diligence efforts. Commscope, working with investment bankers, acquired Andrews Corp in deal valued at $2.6B.

Served as interim CEO and a senior consultant to this startup fiber optic amenity company funded by SAS.

Designed and implemented a modern information technology platform for the Corporate Finance Group, concurrent with a move into a new HQ building.

Advised the CEO and Chief Strategy Officer to define and optimal HQ organization structure, during the merger of the Chessie and Seaboard companies; responsible for all technology systems for the new corporate HQ offices, include a real-time EIS for daily top management use.

Provided strategy and R&D for the President of AC Nielsen IS&T; proposed/ implemented a PARC-like product R&D center; designed/ implemented Category Manager, the first interactive profit optimization and data delivery product; set up a client War Room, and evaluated M&A candidates.

Developed the first web-based system for defining, testing, managing and selling complex derivatives.

Advised top management of Ericsson in post-merger M&A strategy specifically in the areas of product portfolio and business strategy after Ericsson acquisition of Marconi.

Advised the EVPs of corporate strategy and US operations; implemented three mission critical systems for corporate: reduced US marketing program cost by over $2B annually; saved over $30M annually from improved modeling of CAFE compliance; first dealer CRM system; used car auction optimization.

Served as temporary Corporate Finance Officer; developed budgets, profit tracking systems; helped reorganize the company to regain profitability.

Led a Network Architecture and Design team that provided cost/performance optimization for wireless/wire-line networks, member of Corporate Development team that led M&A due-diligence of Nextel, Skytel, Wireless Cable TV companies, Metricom, Teligent and Skybridge.

Advised the Telecom Practice Leader regarding potential opportunities in telecom and specifically analyzed a company that was being considered as an investment opportunity.

Serves as an Evaluator, Mentor and Advisor to the North Texas Regional Commercialization and Innovation Center, for the Governor of Texas’ Texas Emerging Technologies Fund (TETF); has reviewed in excess of 200 business plans in over 3 years.

Served as an advisor to firms that were founded and hosted by NTEC, the North Texas Enterprise Center in Frisco, Texas.

Senior Advisor from 1999-2001; advising on investments; due diligence; turn around strategy for several portfolio companies.

Served as a Research Fellow and Research Assistant and conducted research in Electrical engineering and Applied Physics, specifically in the areas of laser technology development and applications in solid state physics and received MS and Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering.

Developed an executive information system, identifying and tracking key performance indicators for marketing campaigns and new drug development, as part of a corporate initiative to transform competitiveness.

IT advisor to 3 generals incl. Army CIO and head of $80B Army Weapons Procurement; designed/ implemented the first interactive decision support system for tracking $80B in Army Weapons Systems. Wrote Army’s 20-year IT Strategy, introducing IOT and smart systems.

Developed first Federal Marketing Strategy for large-scale information systems, post deregulation; provided all technical design and bid development for an $80M system proposal for the US Army; designed and implemented the first complex, graphical, decision support systems to run on both Mac and PC.
